After passing through the Atlas Mountains, we will visit a popular tourist attraction, Glaoui Kasbah of Telouet. This unique historic building was once the home to T’hami el Glaoui, the governor of Marrakesh, and his family in the early twentieth century.

We will pass through various Berber villages, and finally arrive at Ourzazate, an incredible fortified city that is more than 800 years old. Here, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is under UNESCO World Heritage protection. Many famous movies have been filmed here, including Gladiator, The Kingdom of Heaven, and Lawrence of Arabia. After the visit to the Kasbah, you will have the option to visit the film studio. Dinner and

After breakfast, we will depart in the direction of the Zagora Desert. Before exiting Ourzazate, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah, another popular kasbah for which Ourzazate is known. We will cross the Anti Atlas Mountains through the beautiful mountain pass of Tizi n Tinifift at 1600 meters above sea level, and make our way to Agdez, a beautiful town that is characterized by many palm trees. This is the beginning of the Draa Valley, which is found along the Draa River, the longest river in Morocco. Here, we will have the opportunity to visit Berber villages and kasbahs. Then, we will pass through several towns, including Tazarrine in the province of Zagora, Alnif, and the palm grove of N’kob. Finally, we will arrive at the Mharech canyons. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

We will depart Mharech in the morning and continue on in the direction of Merzouga, home of Erg Chebbi, where we will find the tallest sand dunes in Morocco. Along the way, we will pass through the desert villages of Ramlia and Ouzina. We will have pizza for lunch with a Berber family, then finally arrive at the hotel in Merzouga in the late afternoon. We will leave our belongings securely stored in our hotel room, and ride camels from the hotel and into the high desert dunes, just in time to watch the sunset. We will spend the night in Berber tents on the desert underneath millions of stars. Dinner and overnight in a Berber tent.

Day 4: MERZOUGA Desert Erg chbbi. We will wake up at dawn to watch the sunrise in the desert and then ride the camels back to the hotel. We will shower and have breakfast at the hotel. The day will be spent exploring Merzouga, taking a drive out around the dunes, and stopping at Cafe Tissardmine, a beautiful and relaxing desert guesthouse. We will stop in the Gnawa village of Khamlia to relax and enjoy Gnawa music played by the people of the village. Afterwards, we will return to the hotel and have lunch. The afternoon and evening will be free to climb the dunes, go sand boarding, or watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

We depart Merzouga in the direction of the town of Rissani, the capital of the Alaouite Dynasty in Morocco. We will continue on in the direction of Erfoud, rich in black stone and fossils. Here you will have the option to stop at a stone shop. We will pass through Telouet, visit the impressive Todra Gorge, and arrive in Dades Valley in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
